Default P***ing Page Rank - 05-14-2007, 06:50 AM

I changed my domain name and put up a 301 redirect on my old domain to
permanently redirect the old pages to the same pages on my new domain
at the begining of Sept, its now the begining of Oct and I haven't seen
any page rank on my new domain.. how long does it take for google to
p*** the old page rank values my old domain had to my new domain?

I had to change from a .com to a .co.uk as google wasn't listing me in
the uk searches. So I was informed that if I places a 301 on the old
..com site the page rank that had would be p***ed to the new .co.uk
domain as google indexed the pages. Well google has been all over my
new site quite a few times now but I haven't recieved any of my old
rankings. Do I have to wait for another global PR update before that
happens?

Google only export a representation of PR to the toolbar for
entertainment purposes every 3 or so months.....the next one is
expected probably within the next 3 or so weeks.

Google updates PR internally on a daily basis, so its already factored
into the rankings.

You have been given some bad advice re changing from .com to co.uk to
show up in UK results. Google use location of the server to mainly
determine these results. The .com would have been fine as long as your
host server is based in the UK.

The host is based in the UK but still wouldn't show in the UK
listings..
I tried contacting google on a number of occasions regarding this, but
they kept telling me to use the online form for that purpose even
though that form dosn't work, and I informed them that the form had an
error.
So the only option left open to me was either changing my host, which I
wouldn't want to do as they have been the best hosts I've encountered
and I have 50 various domains with them, changing the .com to the
..co.uk was the best option open to me. But my rankings have suffered
sevearly due to google not yet giving the value of my inbound links
p***ed to my new domain.
