Dear Google:

I thought you have made a mistake, Taiwan is a part of China, the info
of Taiwan should be Taiwan, Province of China. It is not a country or
independent district (refer to United Nation Origanziation). Would you
please correct it on the Google Map site?

Chinese (including the Chinese people in Taiwan) will be very
appreciated for your effort.

Thanks a lot.

What government bureau of China paid this guy to go around posting
garbage like this. Get a clue... who freakin' pays any attention to
anything the UN has to say? It may be the PC thing to do to not
recognize Taiwan as a country, but in spirit, everyone is there... why
do you think there is a pre-existing understanding that U.S. will
protect Taiwan militarily?

You all know why google is doing this do you not?
They would rather appease over a billion people
than to do what is right.

Amen... my thoughts exactly. It is all about the almighty dollar.

On another thread a guy was trying to make the argument that
Google just has to comply with what is openly recognized by the UN, the
U.S., and the world at large, which is that Taiwan is not an
independent country, and that Google has to live up to a certain
standard to maintain their legitimacy as an open source of information.
I say that is a crock! The TRUTH is what makes something legitimate,
and we all know what the truth is in this instance.

Taiwan is a free and open democracy, something that would go away
in a hurry if China had its way. And, as freedom is an inalienable
right, that is what Google should be supporting.

Taiwanese people resent being called a part of China.
Why would anyone want to be ***ociated with the butchers of Beijing who
m***acred innocent student protesters? Why would anyone want to be
***ociated with those that mercilessly persecute Falun Dafa
practicioners? Why would anyone want to ***ociate with the heartless
occupation of Tibet and East Turkestan?

Taiwan is not a part of these atrocities.
Taiwan is NOT a part of China.
Taiwan is an independent, democratic national that respects basic
freedoms and fundamental rights of human beings.

Please do not ***ociate Taiwan with communist murderers.

Please relabel Taiwan's provincial status to reflect the reality of the
situation. Though China consider Taiwan the 23rd Provence, it is common
knowledge that Taiwan operates independently from the mainland and
wishes to remain free.

Even the United States, which maintains a "One China" policy, still
supplies Taiwan with US military hardware for the explicit purpose of
preventing it's invasion from China.

Google needs to do its small part and not proliferate the Chinese
official position.

TX,
USA
