I think some Google services such as Image/Video Search can already
take advantage of cross-language information retrieval. That is, giving
the user an option to see search results obtained by automatically
word-translate the user's search keywords to some other languages
specified by the user. The user can be asked to manually disambiguate
word senses if necessary.
