Default Question about Rankings, ours have a pattern of jumping - 06-04-2007, 02:29 AM

Hi, I am part of Internet Business Design, we have a site,
http://www.toowoombapressreleases.com
Every morning I run a search for 'toowoomba press release' and for
'toowoomba press releases' and record our position.

Here is the results for 'toowoomba press release', before the 08/05/06
we were around 140-170 mark for the last 5 months.
08/05/06 169
09/05/06 169
10/05/06 167
11/05/06 1
12/05/06 1
15/05/06 158
16/05/06 1
17/05/06 325
22/05/06 170
23/05/06 169
24/05/06 160
25/05/06 160
26/05/06 162
29/05/06 1
30/05/06 159
31/05/06 158
01/06/06 165
02/06/06 161
05/06/06 162
06/06/06 161
07/06/06 159
08/06/06 1

Here is the results for 'toowoomba press releases', before the 08/05/06
we were ranked 3 for the last 5 months.
08/05/06 3
09/05/06 3
10/05/06 3
11/05/06 1
12/05/06 1
15/05/06 3
16/05/06 1
17/05/06 9
22/05/06 3
23/05/06 3
24/05/06 3
25/05/06 3
26/05/06 3
29/05/06 1
30/05/06 3
31/05/06 3
01/06/06 3
02/06/06 3
05/06/06 3
06/06/06 3
07/06/06 3
08/06/06 1

On the 07/05/06 I did a major overhaul of the layout and key working to
be more friendly to both release and releases. You can see every
roughtly 10 days we jump to 1st for a day, then it falls back to its
regular position.

Searching for 'toowoomba press releases', if
http://www.toowoombapressreleases.com is ranked 3, our
http://storehandler.inbusiness.com.au/twbpr/ is ranked 1, this is our
store for the toowoomba press releases.

And on another note, when searching for 'toowoomba press release', when
were ranked 140-170, the 1 and 2 ranked pages are bp.com.au pdfs which
have not existed for months.

I am rather confused, and would love if anyone had any clarification on
whats happening?
