Default How: Delete a Post? - 06-02-2007, 11:21 PM

Do we have the ability to delete a post in a GROUP? (--An un--moderated
GROUP.) If so: how? If not, if ask (e-mail) Google to delete: will
they? This is not 'casual' question. Urgent.

If a post can not be deleted/ removed: any alternative?
Thanks for reply.

Hi Poppy,

As far as I know, you can only delete messages that you posted. Here's
a description of how to do that:

http://linkfrog.net/dkdf

(Here's the original link:
http://groups.google.de/group/uk.rec...9e94baa3e81d10.)

There might be ways of getting the individual usenet servers to delete
messages, but I wouldn't know where to begin. And I doubt Google could
do it even if they wanted, since they only index the usenet sites, and
don't own them.

Thank you for reply, Abigale.

Tried to follow the instructions in your link, I searched for "Message"
tab (--sheesh did I search!) but it doesn't exist on my Toolbar nor
browser; no help from *HELP* either, but in frustration > *show
options* (above) and Presto! There is *REMOVE* option! And *click*
problem is gone. (Thought you might want to know, someday.)

(It seems I posted a question to which the answer is a violation,
yikes, didn't know; the urgency was to remove the post before my
account, my blog maybe and my head were removed and the post went into
Archives.) (*REMOVE* deletes from archives/results.) That was amazing
reference on your part. Thanks.

Poppy
