Default Retrieving lost google caches - 05-14-2007, 04:21 PM

Hi,
My website went down two weeks back due to a server crash. The site
code was backed up, but the database of content wasn't. So, basically,
years of work have been lost (the site had thousands of pages of text
content).
Searching on Google the other day I noticed that about 800 pages were
returned, and for many of them the text had been cached. However, I
couldn't save these off at the time as I'm in the middle of nowhere
with hardly any internet access. Now I notice that Google only returns
233 results for my site. I've saved these off, but is there any way of
retrieving the other cached text that was available last week?
Thanks

You could try different Google data centers:

http://www.mcdar.net/dance/index.php

You could try Wayback Machine and other search engines with cached
pages:

http://www.archive.org/
http://search.yahoo.com/
http://search.msn.com/

Many thanks. The Mcdar.net link doesn't seem to work, but pulled back a
few extra caches from Yahoo and Wayback Machine.

Much appreciated.

Here's another page to try Google's data centers:
