THE RESPONSE:
Thank you for your note. We have reactivated your account, so you should
be able to begin posting again soon.
Please keep in mind that there are a few ways Google Groups limits posting
frequency. First, we limit the number of messages posted to a single group
within a short period of time. If that limit is reached, posting to that
group will be frozen temporarily, and you'll be instructed to post again
later.
Second, we limit the number of messages a single user can post via email
in a short period of time. If that limit is reached, your posting account
will be disabled. If your account is disabled, you may see a message about
an "autoresponder" or "autoresponding." To reactivate your account, just
visit
http://groups.google.com/support, click on "contact us," select
"Report a technical problem," and send us an email. We'll review your
request and let you know what we decide.
Third and finally, we limit the number of messages a single user or
computer can post via our website in a short period of time. If that limit
is reached, posting will be frozen temporarily, and you'll be instructed
to post again later.
The purpose of these limits is to protect Google Groups users from a
number of different types of abuse, including poorly configured
auto-responders, robots, and spammers.
Because the limits are subject to change, we're unable to provide the
exact numbers that trigger them.
Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.
Regards,
The Google Team
