When rich formatting was introduced and I could only get to it on my
work computer but not at home, I thought it curious, but ***umed it was
in my settings somewhere.

I have searched HIGH AND LOW, and now that Gmail has updated with a
separate Delete button off of the pull-down tab, I am really at a loss.
This update doesn't show on my home computer either - yet I was using
it at work on the same gmail account all this morning.

Ideas?

Oh Jeeeez, Now the delete button has appeared, but still no rich text.
WTF, I daresay.
