I use QuickTime Alternative and Real Alternative - both of which hook
into Media Player Cl***ic.
Also, I do use Media Player 11. I like to play MP3s on my computer but
I have yet to find a decent MP3 player that I like. I used to use
WinAmp before AOL took it over and turned it into a bloated hog so I
was using an version 2.95:

But that software is pretty antiquated and I was having problems
running it on XP. I found no other suitable MP3 players that didn't
have wacky, unintuitive interfaces or wasn't so bloated that it took
forever to open (Music Match) so Media Player 11 it is. Media Player
11 is simple to use, handles music and video, is stable (so far),
flexible in it's privacy control and it's free. The only thing I don't
like about it is the dumbed down tools for ripping CDs and, for that, I
use EAC:

As for IE, I use Firefox. IE has gotten better but it's widespread use
makes it the prime target for spyware.
Hate Microsoft all you want, but that doesn't mean that they never turn
out anything decent and Windows Media Player works well for me.
