A lot of CAPTCHAs are easily broken by programs available on the market to
spammers. Moreover, the ones that are hard, are hard to me as well, and
might stop you from getting mail.

Best to do IMNSHO is to check each mail, and report spam when you get it.
That way you might be able to make a small change, and help others as
well. Filtering is not a solution, unless you report a part of what
tickles your filter.

Have you tried hotscripts.com?

No method will stop spammers "contacting" you because the whole point of
a contact form is to be contacted!

You have to balance how much you want to inconvenience the user against
how much you want to make things difficult for the spammer.

From my experience, a very useful way to stop certain bots is to require
a cookie. This stopped dead a bout of persistent contact form spam I
was getting.

Yes, I have - I could not see a free one though.

Again - folks, I am not looking for advice, I am looking for recommendations
on a formailer script with antispam/CAPCHA functionality.

If you use one and can recommend it, please post a link.

Thanks.

Rocky.

This is Usenet, replies are written for free. Sometimes it matches what
you want, at other times it doesn't. Remember, it's free.

Thanks, but that's a plugin for a CMS. I'm looking for a standalone php
formamiler.

Rocky.
