I just recently set up a server on a static IP address. I have a website
with a third party hosting company, and I would like to transwer the domain
name from them to my new IP address.

Ike: I haven't done this in a few years, but the last time I did, I
had to contact the new host to arrange for parking the IP there. Then,
I had to contact the old host and tell them I was going to have it
moved. They sent me a form to fill out. I believe the new host took
care of whatever was required to transfer it after that.

If you have cotrol of the DNS you can just change the 'A' record to
point to the new static IP address.
