Default web advertising - 06-04-2007, 01:37 AM

Hello,

I'm a web developer and I developed many websites in my life , so I
know all technical aspects, but I don't know much about online
marketing. I would like to do some web advertising. I understand that
the common approach for charging for add space is either click through
or impressions. I will need to be able to monitor these and log them
to ensure appropriate charges. I would also need to be able to add/
remove add and modify their configuration i.e. size/impression ratio/
etc.

What sort of products or services I can use in this instance. I use
PHP/MySql to develop my sites.

Thanks a lot,
Richard

Affiliate marketing is another good way beside PPC or banner placements.

You could go with CJ if you are interested in product sales or leads.

If it's inofrmation, clickbank and paydotcom are the best ones to use.

Have you looked at Adbrite or similar advertising sites? You can either publish ads ro buy ad space on other sites. Very flexible.

One thing I would steer away from is sites that claim to place you high up on search engines. There is a company that was ordered to pay money back to customers because it never did what it said it would.
