Default tracking visitor statistics - 06-02-2007, 08:53 PM

Does anyone know of a good web-based website visitor/hit tracking
package? I do not want to signup for an account somewhere and have
someone else host my scripts--I want something I can download and
setup on my own site. I need something that will track the entire
page address including URI (account.php?do=create). Also, I would it
to not be limited in the amount of data it stores (some only store 1
year or 6 months, I would like it unlimited). The last little caveat
I can think of is that I would like a free solution but will pay a
small amount for something that is exactly what I want. I have
searched Google for weeks and haven't found anything better than
ActualAnalyzer Gold. All suggestions are welcome. Thanks for your
input!

Is $5.00 per month too much?

If you can afford to pay for hosting at a host with CPanel, you will get
all of the stats you need, along with your choice of two stat packages
to organize them and display them for you.

Except for the cost, I think that would be exactly what you want.

Yes, I have both. PHP 5 and MySQL.

Google Analytics is free and you can use your google/gmail account to
sign up. You'll need to put some script on your page. It says to put
it in the header section, but it can really go anywhere. It also
works well with the googlepages service.
