Default Word count in a form field - 06-02-2007, 08:53 PM

I've been to lots of sites where a certain text field is limited to a
certain number of words (or characters). As you type, it counts down
visibly so you can track what you enter.

How is that done? What I specifically need is to count the total number of
words entered into a field so that a total per-word charge can be calculated
based on the information.

TIA,

Mary

Ahh - based on the first reply I received, I thought I would be redundant in
doing so The first link is where I found the info and the second is
where I'm using it. Still very rudimentary on my part, but a step in the
right direction.
