This is what I get from some article about to improve traffic. Its good to share here I think.

If you are unfamiliar with the process here is a quick over view:

1. You write an article related to the subject of your website

2. You post this article to an article directory - with a very well written authors resource box - This is the box at the end of the article that tells a little bit about you, and gives links to your website where the reader can find more interesting stuff about the subject.

3. People read the article and click on the link to your website - plus you get the added bonus of getting back links in the search engines. The search engines see these articles and what they are about and they see the link to your website so they give your website more importance in the subject.

There are several benefits to this, not just more traffic. You also improve your writing skills and you get more content for your website. I post my articles to my website along with posting them to the article directories. Also, these article directories have lots of articles you can use on your site. You simply cut and paste the article (including the authors resource box for the author that wrote it) and you have instant content on your site.

Have a nice day Friends

Writing some good articles would surely be helpful if we mention the website name at the end of the author's introduction. Some interesting articles written on some famous sites like ***ociated content or helium or goarticles would be helpful. Using Digg would also be helpful. Social networks or forums are the best media to get good traffic.

Content is king, well at least thats what they used to say. I guess that is still the case, but it's just been tweaked a little bit. Google is constantly changing the rules on how to get a higher rank. But I'm straying off topic slightly. Traffic, I've found, at the beginning comes from a site that has a good core group of posters. I've seen sites that have 5-10 posters who really post, no fluff. I've also seen sites that have hundreds of members daily, but very few posts. The site that has the group of friends, will be the one that stays around.

Obviously my observations below are primarily for computer and games related forums.
I have found that some of the forums which have the best traffic are those which provide answers to technical questions, problems or queries as in the case of various games and computer related sites
or give various advice and strategies for optimizing or improving performance in games or for optimizing and troubleshooting computer hardware and software or games.

So it helps if you are a technical expert or have such posters who can clear technical and troubleshooting queries. And if you have such a section in your forum.

These are great suggestions for gamers. For people selling services or goods, though, social networks where the median age is below 35 are death.

The more traffic you can get without having to spend time interacting on a personal level, the better. Blogs save time, especially if you also post in forums serving your target market.

And to add to that, Latent Semantic Indexing has been embedded with google's algorithm. Try related keywords, and sprinkle it into the content. Talk about long tail technique and so on.
