Default PR's Heading South - 05-09-2007, 06:30 PM

Hey - I'm a small-time web designer, primarily serving local small
businesses. I don't offer (or claim expert knowledge of) SEO services,
but I have previously been able to get enough well-placed links to
generate PR's of around 4 for most of our clients. This was usually
good enough to get them well-positioned in location-specific searches,
which kept the clients satisfied.

In the past few weeks, a number of these sites have fallen to PR's of
1 or 2, after having carried a 4 for several years. Since there's been
no significant change to the sites, to the linking sites, or to the
linking sites' PR, I ***ume Google has done a significant tweak of the
ranking process. Would any of the experts out there be willing to
share a few insights that might help me understand what the $%&**#$ is
happenin'?

Thanks for your help,
JW

Any examples we could see? Failing that, I'd guess that your inbound
links have been reduced in value. Where are they from, typically?
