I have been advised to rename page names, directories and object names
to include our keywords

i.e.

The top banner, currently has the following directory address

http://www.premiumiv.com/images/top_banner.jpg

Change directory address from and banner title to

http://www.premiumiv.com/st_barts_im...top_banner.jpg

Similarly

Taking this page as an example

http://www.premiumiv.com/arrival_departure.htm

Change the name to

http://www.premiumiv.com/st_barts_arrival_departure.htm

Is this good practice or are we going to get a spanking?

Thanks

Why do I bother? A, it makes little difference but it wouldn't be a
bad idea ti implement if you were just starting out, b you aren't just
starting out so you'd have to 301 everything (no-one explained that,
huh?) and c you'd be wanting to join them with hyphens, not
underscores. This is why people pay me, James, because I know what I'm
talking about.

If you were to rename, I would use dashes "-" instead of underscores
"_". It would have been a good idea to do in the first place. You may
want to redirect old pages to new via 301 redirect, but do so very
slowly and cautiously. (ie, do a couple of pages and wait a month)

OK with me, although:

1. Don't redirect, leave pages that are done unchanged (especially if they
are present for some time on the web). Use this approach for new pages
only.
2. Use - instead of _ (so st-barts-premium, not st_barts_premium)

I'd shake off the "st-barts" part of the webpage naming changes. I
suggest to simply go with arrival-departure.htm rather than st-barts-
arrival-departure.html as "st bart" has little keryphrase search
frequency and would dilude keyphrases that have some meaning.

However, I'd use "st-barts" as the name of the directory such as like
you have done with : www premiumiv com/st_barts_images/ The search
engine should recognize the directory name and reward your web pages
for that keyphrase in addition to the keyphrase within the webpage
name.
