even if the forum is attractive,. the question is,. do people know that your forum exist? so you better apply SEO on it for the world to know about your forum

I guess to improve your forum traffic at beginning try to get some paid posters to your forum, I feel it might get good traffic, but the only thing that needs to be concerned is that there should be good topics mentioned to let the discussions go on further.

Starting a forum from scratch is tough. There are millions of forums out there, so how do you compete? Well, first thing you do is contact every singled person you know and ask them to join. Next, you make sure that every day, you add brand new, INTERESTING topics. Just because no one else is posting, doesn't mean that you can't. Now this is a long, tedious process, it might take months, maybe longer, but eventually, people will see you post, and then follow suit...

There are many things that you can do to attract customers. A very popular thing to do it to hold contests. The online world is full of people who want to make a quick buck or just want to feel the satisfaction of winning.

I think the design should be a little more eye-catching, too. And I am not sure that everyone really knows what it's about from the title.

Before changing th appearance of your forum, you have to get some attention.

Place articles in each area of the forum and then refer to them on your blog or in blog comments, where appropriate.
